Jaipur, February 5 : Following SpiceJet and Alliance Air, IndiGo Airlines has now launched a direct flight from Jaipur to Prayagraj, catering to the increasing travel demand for the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela. This flight will operate daily between the two cities until the end of February.
New Flight to Ease Maha Kumbh Travel
With the rising number of passengers traveling to Prayagraj, IndiGo Airlines has introduced this additional flight to provide another convenient travel option for devotees.
According to an IndiGo spokesperson, the new Jaipur to Prayagraj direct flight (6E-5001) will operate from February 5 to February 28.
Departure: 7:00 AM from Jaipur
Arrival: 8:20 AM in Prayagraj
Duration: 1 hour 20 minutes
Similarly, the return flight (6E-5019) will also operate daily until February 28.
Departure: 8:55 PM from Prayagraj
Arrival: 10:15 PM in Jaipur
Duration: 1 hour 20 minutes
Existing Jaipur-Prayagraj Flight Options
Before IndiGo’s launch, two airlines were already operating flights on this route:
SpiceJet: Runs a daily direct flight between Jaipur and Prayagraj.
Alliance Air: Operates a weekly service from Jaipur to Prayagraj, flying only on Sundays.
Additionally, SpiceJet is set to introduce another daily flight from February 11, increasing connectivity between the two cities.
Impact on Airfare
Currently, airfare on this route exceeds ₹15,000 per passenger, making travel expensive. With IndiGo entering the market, competition is expected to bring down ticket prices, benefiting travelers.
