Udaipur, February 7: In alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for Viksit Bharat Sankalp 2047, the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) is empowering farmers across the country. The scheme, launched by the central government, aims to provide financial assistance and modern technologies to boost fish farming as a profitable business. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Rajasthan is actively promoting aquaculture to strengthen the rural economy.

Eligible individuals can now apply online for financial assistance under the scheme, which is expected to transform fish farming into a lucrative occupation. Given Rajasthan’s dominance in agriculture and animal husbandry, fisheries have emerged as a promising new source of income. The state’s reservoirs, canals, ponds, and artificial water bodies are being utilized to enhance fish production. With financial aid, training, and modern technology, farmers can maximize profits at minimal costs.
