Ahmedabad, February 6 A total of 33 Indian nationals from Gujarat, who were deported from the United States, arrived in Ahmedabad today. The individuals, hailing from different districts of North, Central, and South Gujarat, landed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport via an IndiGo flight from Amritsar early in the morning.
Strict Security Measures at Ahmedabad Airport
The deported individuals were escorted under heavy security, with their faces covered, before being moved out of the airport premises. Authorities ensured that each person was sent home in separate vehicles, accompanied by local law enforcement officials from their respective districts.
According to Ahmedabad H-Division SP R.D. Ojha, the 33 deportees arrived from Amritsar and were immediately handed over to their district police teams. No immediate questioning took place at the airport. However, local Law & Crime Branch (LCB) officials in their home districts will conduct further investigations.
