Dubai, February 8 The grand unveiling of the Intercontinental Legends Championship (ILC) Trophy took place in a prestigious ceremony in Dubai, marking the launch of a cricket league that will bring legendary players from across the globe onto one platform.

Inaugural ILC Season to be Held in India

The first edition of ILC is set to take place from March 3 to March 12, 2025, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun, India. The tournament will feature six teams representing different regions:

  • Africa Lions
  • American Strikers
  • Asian Avengers
  • Euro Gladiators
  • Caribbean Hurricanes
  • Trans Titans

A Grand Event with Cricketing Icons and Industry Leaders

The trophy unveiling was hosted by 100 Sports Management Private Limited, the official management company for ILC. Several prominent figures attended the event, including former cricketers, business leaders, and sports industry executives.

Vision of ILC: A Global Cricketing Spectacle

Speaking at the event, ILC CEO Pradeep Sangwan said,
“This is more than just a tournament; it is a platform to connect cricket fans across continents. Starting from India, the league will travel across different regions, bringing competitive cricket to a new level.”

Former South African cricketer Herschelle Gibbs, one of the promoters of ILC, highlighted its uniqueness, saying,
“ILC is unlike any other league because it features teams from multiple continents. Fans will get to witness high-intensity international cricket with legendary players in action.”

Former Indian pacer Munaf Patel, who will be participating in the tournament, expressed his excitement, stating,
“ILC is a significant initiative for retired players who still have a passion for competitive cricket. I am proud to be part of this tournament and to return to the field once again.”

ILC League Director Umesh Kumar also shared his vision, adding,
“This league is the realization of a dream. From the very beginning, we were confident that we were creating a world-class platform for cricket enthusiasts.”

Distinguished Guests at the Ceremony

The event was graced by several eminent personalities, including Umesh Kumar, MLA (Khanpur, Uttarakhand), Herschelle Gibbs, Munaf Patel, Rahul Hooda (ILC Director), Gaurav Kamal, Manish Bhatt, Dubai-based businessman Jitendra Kumar Sinla, singer and actor Ali Quli Mirza, and 100 Sports Management founder Ravindra Bhati.

With the countdown to the Intercontinental Legends Championship now underway, fans can expect a thrilling tournament that celebrates the legends of the game while fostering cricketing unity across continents.
