In a major boost for Vodafone Idea (Vi) users, the company has partnered with Nokia to expand its network across India. According to an official announcement from Nokia, the telecom giant will add a total of 3,300 new sites by March 2025, significantly improving coverage and connectivity for millions of users.

What Does This Expansion Mean for Users?

The installation of these new towers will drastically enhance Vodafone Idea’s network, bringing better connectivity to more remote areas. Users can expect improved signal strength, fewer dropped calls, and a more reliable 4G experience across the country. The new towers will help increase Vodafone Idea’s reach in both urban and rural regions, ensuring that no matter where you are, your connection remains strong.

Massive Network Upgrades and Enhanced Coverage

Alongside the installation of 3,300 new towers, Nokia will also upgrade 42,000 existing sites and add over 25,000 new spectrum bands to Vodafone Idea’s network. This will result in expanded bandwidth and increased data capacity, enabling users to enjoy faster speeds and uninterrupted service even during peak hours.

Nokia is also working on expanding hotspot coverage, ensuring that customers can enjoy seamless connectivity wherever they go. With these improvements, Vodafone Idea aims to expand its 4G network coverage to an additional 20 million customers by March 2025, increasing capacity by 25%. This means better service in nine out of 17 circles in India.

A Strategic Partnership for Better Service

Vodafone Idea’s Chief Technology Officer, Jagbir Singh, highlighted the importance of this partnership with Nokia. He stated that by working closely with Nokia, they aim to extend their 4G network to an additional 20 million customers and significantly boost capacity. This expansion will help improve the quality of service for millions of users, particularly in areas where network coverage has been weak.

Taran Chhabra, Senior Vice President and Country Head at Nokia India, emphasized the pride Nokia feels in supporting Vodafone Idea’s LTE network expansion and modernization efforts. With this strategic partnership, users will soon enjoy enhanced mobile experiences across the country.

The Future of Vodafone Idea’s Network

With this ambitious project underway, Vodafone Idea is committed to providing better services to its customers by upgrading its infrastructure. The improved network will pave the way for faster internet speeds, better voice quality, and a more stable connection, making it one of the top choices for mobile users in India.

If you’re a Vodafone Idea customer, this network upgrade is certainly good news. Expect faster browsing, better call quality, and smoother streaming in the near future!
