Udaipur, February 3 Newly appointed Udaipur District Collector, Namit Mehta, has reaffirmed his commitment to swift grievance resolution by promptly addressing the concerns of a differently-abled individual on his very first day in office.

After formally assuming charge on Monday afternoon, Collector Mehta conducted an inspection of the office premises, during which he was approached by a differently-abled person on a tricycle seeking assistance.

Prompt Action on Pension-Related Grievance

The individual, identified as Harshad Babulal Shah, a former bank employee from Dungarpur district, informed the Collector that his pension under the Central Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) scheme had been discontinued for the past four months. As a result, he and his family were facing severe financial difficulties.

Recognizing the urgency of the matter, Collector Mehta promptly instructed the concerned officials to thoroughly investigate the issue and ensure a timely resolution.

In response to the directive:
✔ Officials collected all necessary documents and details from the complainant.
✔ The case was immediately forwarded to the Central EPF Office in Chitrakoot Nagar for review.
✔ Officials were tasked with ensuring swift action and providing an update on the resolution process.

Following the Collector’s intervention, the officials acted with urgency, facilitating the necessary procedures to reinstate the pension and ensure the complainant received due relief.
