Jaipur, February 6 A horrific road accident occurred in the Dudu region of Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Thursday afternoon, resulting in the tragic deaths of eight people. The incident took place at approximately 3:45 PM on the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway near Maukhampura, when a Rajasthan Roadways bus lost control due to a tire burst and crashed into an oncoming car, leaving six others injured.

According to reports, the Rajasthan Roadways bus was traveling from Jaipur to Ajmer, while an Eco car was heading in the opposite direction, from Ajmer to Jaipur. As the bus approached Maukhampura, one of its tires burst, causing the vehicle to lose control. The out-of-control bus veered across the highway divider and collided head-on with the Eco car, crushing it completely.

Emergency services rushed to the scene upon receiving the distress call. Jaipur Rural Police, along with local residents, launched a rescue operation. However, the impact of the collision was so severe that all eight passengers in the car died on the spot.

Police Statement on the Incident

Jaipur Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Anand Kumar Sharma confirmed the details of the accident, stating:
“The Roadways bus lost control due to a tire burst and crossed over the divider, colliding with an oncoming Eco car. The collision was fatal, and all eight passengers in the car lost their lives instantly.”

Identities of the Deceased

The victims have been identified as:

  1. Dinesh Kumar, son of Madanlal Regar
  2. Bablu Mewara, son of Madan Mewara
  3. Kishan, son of Jankilal
  4. Ravikant, son of Madanlal
  5. Babu Regar, son of Madanlal
  6. Narayan, resident of Badliyas (Bhilwara)
  7. Pramod Suthar, son of Moolchand, resident of Mukundpuriya (Bhilwara)
  8. One unidentified victim

According to preliminary investigations, all the deceased were residents of Kotri region in Bhilwara and were traveling to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, for the Mahakumbh.

Initial police investigations suggest that the accident was primarily caused by a combination of two factors:

  • High speed of the Roadways bus
  • Tire burst, leading to loss of control
