The cold wave gripping Rajasthan continues to bring a significant drop in temperature across multiple cities. On Thursday, cities like Ajmer, Kota, and Baran experienced chilly conditions as the minimum temperature dropped below 10°C.

Cold Weather to Persist for the Next 48 Hours

According to weather experts, the cold spell is expected to persist for the next two days. However, from February 9 onwards, temperatures will start rising, bringing relief from the intense cold during mornings and evenings.

Cold Winds Keep Temperatures Low in Key Cities

Cold winds swept across Jaipur, Sikar, Dausa, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, and Churu, keeping daytime temperatures low and causing mild shivering throughout the day.

Maximum Temperatures Recorded on Thursday:

📍 Jaipur: 24.2°C
📍 Sikar: 22.0°C
📍 Churu: 24.1°C
📍 Alwar: 21.8°C
📍 Jhunjhunu: 23.9°C

Meanwhile, Ajmer, Baran, and Kota recorded a significant dip in minimum temperatures, dropping by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius compared to the previous day.

📍 Kota: 8.3°C
📍 Ajmer: 9.1°C
📍 Baran: 5.8°C

Impact of Northern Winds in Border Districts

The chilling effect of northern winds was also felt in the border districts of Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner, Ganganagar, Jalore, and Jodhpur. These areas experienced mild cold winds during the daytime.

📍 Jaisalmer: 25.9°C
📍 Jodhpur: 26.8°C
📍 Bikaner: 25.3°C

The Jaipur Meteorological Center predicts that cold conditions will persist across Rajasthan until February 8.

🔹 Cold winds will continue in Jaipur, Bikaner, and Bharatpur regions during the morning and evening hours.
🔹 From February 9, the effect of northern winds will weaken, leading to gradual temperature rise and relief from extreme cold.
🔹 The weather is expected to remain dry until February 12-13, with clear skies and sunny days.
