Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is stepping up with new offers to attract more customers. The government-owned telecom company has announced an extra data benefit with one of its prepaid plans. In recent months, BSNL has launched several similar offers. During Diwali, the telecom operator provided a ₹100 discount on its annual plan, bringing the ₹1,999 plan down to ₹1,899. BSNL’s chairman has stated that, for the foreseeable future, there are no plans to raise recharge prices. Instead, the company is focused on launching new network services and improving overall service quality.
BSNL’s ₹599 Plan Now Offers Extra Data for 84 Days
BSNL has shared information about this extra data offer across its social media channels. The offer is available with the ₹599 plan, which has an 84-day validity. Previously, this plan included 3GB of daily data along with unlimited calling across all networks. Now, with the new offer, customers will receive an additional 3GB of data on top of the daily data limit.
However, there’s a condition attached to this offer. Customers must recharge the ₹599 prepaid plan through BSNL’s SelfCare app to receive the extra data benefit. Through the SelfCare app, users can also access services such as Zing, PRBT, and Astrotel, though these may involve additional charges.
BSNL is known for offering some of the most affordable mobile services. The company also has a long-term prepaid plan valid for 300 days, priced at ₹797. This plan includes 2GB of daily data, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for the first 60 days. After that, the SIM remains active, though additional recharges are required for outgoing calls and data services.
BSNL’s new offers could prove attractive to customers seeking value, potentially increasing competition among telecom providers in India.
