Motorola is gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated Razr 50 Ultra, set to debut in China on June 25 alongside the standard Razr 50, with a global premiere slated for July. As excitement builds, new information has surfaced regarding the smartphone’s color options and impressive water resistance capabilities.

A Spectrum of Color Options

Renowned tipster @MysteryLupin recently shared on social media that the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra will be available in up to six distinct colors. The expected color palette includes black, blue, beige, green, orange, and a special edition in Pantone’s color of the year, peach. Additionally, other sources suggest the availability of pink and purple variants, although the consistency across these colors remains to be confirmed.

Enhanced Durability with IPX8 Certification

In an official promotional video released by Motorola, the company highlighted the Razr 50 Ultra’s robust water resistance. The smartphone is reportedly IPX8 certified, meaning it can withstand submersion in water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes without sustaining damage. This feature underscores Motorola’s commitment to durability and user convenience, particularly for those with active lifestyles.

Cutting-Edge Camera and Display Features

The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is set to feature an advanced AI-powered camera system, including a dual rear camera setup with a 50 MP wide-angle lens and a 50 MP 2x telephoto sensor. For selfie enthusiasts, a 32 MP front-facing camera is also expected. The device boasts a 6.9-inch OLED main display complemented by a secondary 3.6-inch screen, promising an immersive visual experience touted as the “biggest, smartest display ever.”

Expected Price and Specifications

Leaked details suggest that the Razr 50 Ultra will be priced at approximately 1,199 euros (around Rs. 107,300) for the model with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The smartphone will be fueled by a 4,000mAh battery with fast-charging capabilities via USB Type-C, ensuring prolonged usage and quick recharge times.

US Market Launch as Razr+

While the initial launch is focused on the Chinese market, the Razr 50 Ultra is anticipated to hit the US market in 2024 under the name Razr+. This rebranding aligns with Motorola’s strategy to appeal to a broader audience while maintaining its innovative edge in the foldable smartphone segment.

As Motorola continues to push the boundaries of smartphone technology, the Razr 50 Ultra stands out with its vibrant color choices, superior water resistance, and cutting-edge features, setting a new standard for foldable phones in the market.
