Mahindra has revised the pricing of its flagship SUV, the XUV700, introducing a price hike on select AX7 and AX7L variants. This adjustment comes just two months after a celebratory price drop in August, which marked the SUV’s third anniversary since its launch. Despite the increase, the starting price of the XUV700 remains unchanged at ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom), maintaining its appeal for entry-level buyers.

Variants Affected by the Price Revision

The recent price hike affects only specific variants in the AX7 and AX7L trims. Notably, these variants had seen price reductions of up to ₹2 lakh in August, making the current increase particularly significant.

  • AX7 Variants: Starting at ₹19.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the AX7 lineup now extends to ₹23 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • AX7L Variants: Known for their premium features, the AX7L variants now cap at ₹25.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Variants Exempt from the Hike

The manual and seven-seat automatic petrol variants remain unaffected, continuing to cater to budget-conscious buyers. However, the AX7 petrol variants have seen a ₹30,000 hike, while the high-end diesel variants experienced the steepest increase of ₹50,000.

Mahindra XUV700: A Benchmark in the SUV Segment

Since its debut, the Mahindra XUV700 has cemented its place as a premium offering in the mid-size SUV market. Competing with rivals like the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and Kia Carens, it offers a variety of configurations, including both two-row and three-row seating options.

Why the AX7 Variant Stands Out

The AX7 range is an upgrade from the AX5, featuring advanced technology and comfort. Key highlights include:

  • ADAS Level 2 (Advanced Driver Assistance System) for enhanced safety
  • Panoramic sunroof for an expansive cabin experience
  • Dual HD superscreen display for superior infotainment
  • 3D audio by Sony for premium sound quality
  • Leatherette seats for added luxury
  • All-Wheel Drive (AWD) for improved off-road performance

The AX7L Luxury Pack elevates the experience further, combining sophisticated design with top-notch features to cater to discerning buyers.

The Impact of the Price Hike

The price adjustment is especially noteworthy for potential buyers of the AX7 and AX7L variants, given the significant discounts offered in August. While the revised prices narrow the gap from earlier reductions, the XUV700 continues to offer an unmatched combination of features, technology, and value for its price, keeping it competitive in its segment.

With its blend of performance, safety, and premium features, the Mahindra XUV700 remains a compelling choice for SUV enthusiasts, even amid the updated pricing.
