Jaipur, February 8 Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohanlal Yadav took a holy dip together at the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. Accompanied by Rajasthan’s cabinet ministers and legislators, they performed rituals and participated in the sacred bathing ceremony at the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati. Later in the day, the Rajasthan cabinet is scheduled to hold a meeting at the Rajasthan Mandapam in Prayagraj.

CMs Arrive in Prayagraj for Mahakumbh

A special aircraft carrying Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, along with 115 ministers and legislators from Rajasthan, landed in Prayagraj at 7:20 AM on Saturday. Upon arrival, they proceeded to the Mahakumbh, where they took the ceremonial dip in the holy waters. The delegation also offered prayers at the Hanuman Temple situated near the Sangam.

Following the religious ceremonies, CM Sharma will head to the Rajasthan Pavilion, where the cabinet meeting is set to take place. The ministers and legislators will stay in Prayagraj overnight and depart for Jaipur on Sunday at noon, with their flight expected to land in the Rajasthan capital at 1:45 PM.

CM Sharma Praises PM Modi’s Leadership

Speaking to the media in Prayagraj, CM Bhajanlal Sharma lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that the public’s unwavering faith in him is evident. “People believe that what PM Modi promises, he delivers. This trust is reflected in the electoral success of the double-engine government in Delhi,” Sharma remarked.

Previous Visit to Prayagraj

Earlier, on January 19, CM Bhajanlal Sharma had visited Prayagraj to participate in the Mahakumbh. During his visit, he performed rituals at the Sangam, including offering milk and Ganga water to Lord Shiva and attending the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Sangam. He also paid homage at the revered Bade Hanuman Temple.

The participation of both state chief ministers in the Mahakumbh underlines the cultural and religious significance of the event, which draws millions of devotees from across the country.
